St.
Louis for Kids is very excited to announce the online Happenings
4 Youth Resource Directory has been completely updated.
1.
Your organization will have complete control over the content
of your listing. St. Louis for Kids will contact your organization
to give you your username and password so that you can update
the information at anytime. St. Louis for Kids will send
out occasional reminders to update your information.
2. The format is very user friendly. Just click on a category,
then click on each option that applies to your programs.
3. More categories have been added to give parents specific
results, hopefully resulting in finding programs that are
relevant for their child.
4. You will receive monthly usage reports starting November
1, 2006 to let you know how many people have clicked on
your website’s link from the Happenings 4 Youth Resource
Directory.
Instructions
for Updating Your Organization’s Information
Input:
Your USERNAME: (will be sent to your organization)
Your PASSWORD: (will be sent to your organization)
Click Enter
Your organization’s information will come up. Please
take a few minutes to review and verify your organization’s
information for each category: (remember to choose all that
apply to your program)
a. Age of Child – 1-18
b. Program Time – AM, PM or All Day
c. Program Seasonality – Summer, Year Around or School
Year
d. Gender – Girls, Boys or Both*
e. Program Offerings – Animals, Arts/Crafts, Camping,
Child Care, Health Fitness, Leadership Development, Mentoring,
Music/Dance, Service Projects, Special Needs, Sports/Recreation,
Tutoring/Academics
If a box has a "check mark" and that information
does not apply, click on the box to remove that option and
the "check mark".
*Note:
Under “Gender,” if your program serves both
girls and boys, click all three options (Girls, Boys, AND
Both). This will yield better results for parents and youth
who are searching, and maximize your exposure in searches.
Display
our listing in search system? The only reason to change
this to “NO” would be if your organization no
longer wants to be part of the directory.
Send
us monthly report of email/web activity via email? This
is a great way to find out if parents and youth are coming
to your web site through the Happenings 4 Youth online directory.
If you decide you don’t want to receive an email once
a month, click “NO”. You can go back and change
it later if you desire.
